Nourishing Knits Serialized e-Book First Installment

If you are a Facebook fan, follow my Twitter feed or have checked in on the Designedly, Kristi Knitters Ravelry Group this is old news. Hopefully next week will bring the release of the first installment in my serialized e-book, Nourishing Knits: 24 Projects to Gift and Entertain. The book will contain twelve knitting patterns, each paired with one of my original recipes. With the exception of Guided By Love which is being brought out of retirement for this book and is available only as part of the collection, these are brand new patterns which will be available individually after the final installment on March 15, 2011.

The first installment will include Cornucopia, a gently flared cowl knit will be paired with a special holiday dessert perfect for this time of year. A short, fully reversible and very versatile scarf, Bordeaux, is paired with a vegetarian black bean chili for the slow cooker that is so thick and hearty you may not even miss the meat. And lastly, I’ve read every single e-mail, rav mail and ravelry comment for requests for the Guided By Love sock pattern to be available again. So, by popular demand it is coming out of retirement just for this e-book! It is paired with a special treat for your four-legged friends which was tested and given 7 enthusiastic tails up (and one teenage thumb) thanks to my Monday night knitters group.

You’ll be hearing more about this in the coming weeks. Subscriptions won’t be open until the first installment is ready. But, if you subscribe before the final installment you’ll save 25% in addition to getting the patterns as they are ready. There will be a variety of accessories, a couple sweaters to cover everyone in the family, some home accessories and more. The recipes are all great for gifting or sharing with friends and family and include both vegetarian savory main dishes and sweets.

So, that’s my big news, and part of the reason this week has been so crazy :-)

I am so so so excited for this! I have been off the computer lately, and this was a joy to return to. I am really excited for the cowl, I think that it will make a great gifted knit. Just beautiful Kristi.
